SÜLZLE Acquires Steel Trading Company in North Rhine-Westphalia

The SÜLZLE Group has retroactively acquired the steel trading company P.T. Post as of January 1, 2024, further expanding its market position.

P.T. Post Eisenhandel GmbH & Co. KG is a family-run, high-performance company that has been based in Langenfeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, for more than 50 years. Founded in 1970 by Peter Thomas Post as a one-man operation, the company quickly grew to become the largest private steel trader between Cologne and Düsseldorf. Today, it is managed in the second generation by Peter Paul Post as the sole owner, shareholder, and managing director.

With state-of-the-art production facilities and innovative high-rack storage systems, the steel trading experts at P.T. Post have been providing optimal service to their customers for decades. The company offers an extensive range of steel products for all needs—including commercial lengths, fixed lengths, and processing—across a storage area of more than 23,000 m² in nine warehouses.

In addition to classic steel trading, P.T. Post also serves the regional construction industry and building materials trade through its construction steel center, always maintaining a strong focus on customer service.

More than 60 employees and 16 company-owned trucks ensure the timely delivery of products to customers.

Managing director and owner Peter Post wanted to ensure a responsible and well-planned succession for his company early on. In his search for a successor, SÜLZLE was identified as a competent and value-driven partner, ensuring the successful continuation of the company in the spirit of the Post family, its employees, and long-standing business partners.
