The material 1.4006
has good resistance in moderately aggressive, but non-chlorinated environments. A tensile strength of up to 1350 N/mm² can be achieved through heat treatment. After preheating, the steel can be easily welded using manual arc and TIG welding processes. Welding consumables of the same type or higher alloys can be used. Machining can be carried out in the same way as for unalloyed carbon steels of the same strength level.
