Bright-drawn round steel
Bright round steel produced in accordance with DIN EN10277-2, DIN EN 10278 / ISO 286-2 h9 has a tighter dimensional accuracy and a technically induced work hardening of the surface compared to hot-rolled round steel.
This can be explained by the fact that the steel is drawn through a die after hot rolling in a cold state.

Areas of application:
Due to its smooth surface and narrow dimensional tolerances, bright steel can often be used without further processing. If it does need to be further processed, these properties mean that little waste is produced.
The DIN EN 10278 standard replaces the following DIN standards: DIN 174, DIN 175, DIN 176, DIN 178, DIN 667, DIN 668, DIN 669, IN 670, DIN 671, DIN 59360, DIN 59361
Grades:
S235JRC+C h9, S355J2G3+C h9, 11SMn30+C h9, 11SMnPb30+C h9, C15+C h9, C35+C h9, C45+C h9, C45Pb+C h9, C35+SL h6, C45+SL h6, 16MnCr5+C/SH h9, 42CrMo4QT+SH h9
