Brass round profiles
Brass is the best-known copper alloy, which is created by adding zinc. This metal is mainly used where electrical conductivity and mechanical stability are required. It has a wide range of applications and is usually processed before use.
Details
CuZn29Pb3 (MS58)
is very easy to machine and therefore well suited for hot forming.
CuZn37 (MS63)
Very good for cold forming and good for welding or soldering.
CuZn40 (MS60)
has good hot and cold forming properties. Suitable for deep drawing, bending, upsetting and edging.
CuZn38Pb1.5
has good hot and cold forming properties. Suitable for deep drawing, bending, upsetting and edging, also good machinability due to the addition of lead.
CuZn40Al2
can be used in constructions due to its high strength. Well suited for sliding loads. Resistant to weathering.
CuZn35Ni2
can be used in constructions due to its high strength. This material is also resistant to seawater.
CuZn34Al2
can be used in structures subject to static loads due to its high strength and hardness.
CuZn35Al1
can be used in constructions due to its high strength, but this material only has moderate sliding properties.
CuZn25Al5
has very high strength and hardness, making the material suitable for constructions with very high static loads.
