Information ZUGFeRD invoice

The ZUGFeRD invoice format is a specification for the electronic invoice format developed by the Forum elektronische Rechnung Deutschland. This ZUGFeRD standard enables even the smallest companies to exchange invoices conveniently, quickly and easily with their customers electronically.

Description:

The ZUGFeRD-compliant invoice consists of 2 parts:

a visual representation of the invoice as a PDF
a machine-readable part in XML format, which is attached to the PDF.

The ZUGFeRD invoice is sent by e-mail to the e-mail address requested by the customer.

Benefit:

Automation: With ZUGFeRD invoices, it is possible to largely automate the incoming and outgoing invoice process. There is no need to check and scan documents, which significantly reduces the number of staff required.

Archiving: The image data (PDF) and the booking record (XML code) are purely electronic and permanently linked to each other. Recognition errors during scanning are ruled out.

Environmental protection: As invoices no longer need to be printed and sent, paper consumption and CO² emissions are significantly reduced. The lower consumption of resources benefits the environment.

Cost savings: The elimination of printing, postage and personnel costs results in significant cost savings.
