The thyssenkrupp test tower in Rottweil
On 7 and 8 October 2017, the time had finally come: the test tower in Rottweil, with a height of 246 metres and a diameter of 21 metres, was officially opened and has since been used by thyssenkrupp for testing and certifying lift innovations. SÜLZLE Stahlpartner supplied a total of around 2,900 tonnes of round steel, around 8 tonnes of mesh and around 2,300 bolted connections for this dizzying construction project. The spectacular outer shell, which gives the tower a filigree and international appearance, can also be seen from the SÜLZLE headquarters in Rosenfeld.

SÜLZLE Stahlpartner is travelling to dizzying heights: SÜLZLE Stahlpartner is supplying 2,900 tonnes of reinforcing steel and 2,300 bolted connections just-in-time for the construction of the 246 metre high test tower of lift manufacturer thyssenkrupp Elevator in Rottweil!
In the tower, thyssenkrupp Elevator tests and develops new high-speed lifts. The tower is also an attraction for tourists: at a height of 232 metres, it offers Germany’s highest viewing platform with a panoramic view of the entire region.
