New construction project in Hafencity

In the Elbbrücken district in Hamburg’s eastern HafenCity, an innovative and sustainable building complex with various functions has been under construction since April 2023. The new construction project TIDE follows the principles of sustainable construction, with a focus on the use of environmentally friendly, durable materials, resource-efficient construction methods and sustainable energy management.

SÜLZLE Stahlpartner in Dessau-Roßlau delivered around 370 tonnes of bored pile reinforcement from Dessau-Roßlau in the period from February to November 2023 on behalf of PORR Spezialtiefbau GmbH. In an extraordinary location, around 600 rental and owner-occupied apartments are being built in TIDE. An international, publicly funded student dormitory with 260 attractive rental apartments, a daycare center and additional space for commercial and gastronomic purposes will also be included in the development. The UBS Digital Art Museum, which is being created together with the art collective teamLab from Tokyo, will be housed in the basement of the building. With a total area of approx. 6,500 m² and a ceiling height of up to ten meters, it is to become the largest museum for digital art in Europe and a new tourist attraction in HafenCity.
