4,700 tons of reinforcing steel will be delivered.
Horb
The foundation stone for the Neckar Valley Bridge in Horb was laid in April 2023. It is a milestone for the region and will improve the quality of life in the future. Less through traffic and a redesign of the thoroughfare mean both noise and pollution relief for Horb. The release for traffic is planned for the end of 2026. The bridge over the Neckar Valley, which is up to 92 metres high and 667 metres long, also means a visual change for Horb and the region. With relatively low, outwardly inclined pylons and a comparatively slender superstructure, held in place by relatively flat stay cables, it will blend in well with the landscape.
The reinforcing steel for the bridge project is supplied by the SÜLZLE Stahlpartner site in Dornstetten with support from Rosenfeld, Dußlingen and Pforzheim. On behalf of PORR GmbH & Co. KGaA, around 4,700 tonnes of reinforcing steel and 36,500 bolted joints will roll onto the construction site from February 2023 to the end of 2026.
