Hand in hand through the Arlinger Tunnel

SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Pforzheim, SÜLZLE Armierungstechnik and SOTRALENTZ CONSTRUCTION are advancing the Arlinger Tunnel block by block. The ARGE Arlinger Tunnel consortium, consisting of the companies ÖSTU-STETTIN, JÄGER BAU, REIF and GRÖTZ, is responsible for completing the Pforzheim construction project on behalf of the Karlsruhe Regional Council.

Traffic between the A8 motorway and the Enz valley is scheduled to start flowing at the end of 2023. This requires concreting from the floor to the vault in the 1,350 metre long tube. The tunnel vault will be reinforced with steel and then concreted using special tunnel formwork carriages. The installation work will be carried out by SÜLZLE Armierungstechnik. Around 2,000 tonnes of reinforcing steel from Pforzheim and 2,000 tonnes of mesh from SOTRALENTZ CONSTRUCTION are being used for the entire tunnel construction. The floor has already been concreted from the north. It continues to the south, where the formwork carriage is working its way forward. Approximately in the centre of the tunnel, the control centre with ventilation, electrical and connecting tunnels as well as the exhaust air shaft is being built. A comprehensive construction project that benefits from the strength of the SÜLZLE Group. Even complex construction projects such as the Arlinger tunnel can be realised hand in hand.
