Tübingen
In the industrial area of Tübingen, in the immediate vicinity of the Neckar, a new high-rise building was occupied. The “Green Tower” has reached an impressive height of 29 meters. Since May 2023, it has housed about 50 offices and 10 conference rooms for the main customs office in Tübingen. For the project developers of the “Green Tower” and owners of the Tübingen company Meleo, Volker Prichystal and Steffen Schwab, it is a project for the future. The high-rise was built in an innovative hybrid construction method with wood, concrete and steel. A photovoltaic system on the roof supplies ecological electricity. The special feature of the building is the green façade, which serves both for shading and for natural cooling through the evaporation of plant water. For this extraordinary construction project, SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Rosenfeld supplied around 20 tons of processed steel profiles in conjunction with the wooden structure for the interior and over 6 tons for the exterior cladding in 2022.
In addition, around 35 tonnes of walkways and railings from SÜLZLE STAHL Ehrenfriedersdorf were used for outdoor use by August 2023. Although wood was predominantly used throughout the building, the use of concrete reinforcement for the basement, elevator, and load-bearing foundation was also unavoidable. For these areas, SÜLZLE Stahlpartner from Dusslingen supplied the necessary reinforcing steel.
