Reinforcing steel
3,600 tons of reinforcing steel will be delivered.
Stuttgart
The Bonatz Building is the historic station building of Stuttgart’s main railway station. The more than 100-year-old and listed entrance building of Stuttgart’s main railway station is currently undergoing a major modernisation. The cityscape-defining exterior of the Bonatz building will be retained. Inside, the station building will be redesigned to meet today’s requirements for a station. A house-in-house construction makes the building fit for the future.
For the extensive renovation, the SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Dußlingen branch will deliver around 3,600 tons of reinforcing steel to Stuttgart by the end of 2024 on behalf of Ed. Züblin AG. The modernised Bonatz Building is scheduled to be fully commissioned at the same time as the Stuttgart 21 project is commissioned in 2025. The future ground-level entrance to the station building will provide easy access to the tracks of the new platform hall, which is currently being built as part of Stuttgart 21.
