Blickle: Extension Buildings

For the first time, SÜLZLE Stahlpartner is supplying around 4,000 tonnes of CO2-neutral structural steel for the modern extensions of the wheel and castor specialist Blickle from Rosenfeld. The latter is building a new polyurethane production facility at its headquarters. In addition, the administration building will be expanded with a modern customer centre and an employee canteen – one of the largest investments in the company’s history. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new production building took place in March 2020 and the second for the seven-storey administration building in September of this year. Blickle attaches great importance to climate neutrality in its new buildings, and not only for reinforcing steel. Highly efficient technology and an intelligent building envelope keep heating and cooling requirements very low. “With the extensions, we are continuing to focus on the Rosenfeld location and creating capacity for the future,” says David Blickle, member of the management board of Blickle Räder+Rollen GmbH u. SÜLZLE Stahlpartner is thus a pioneer in the reinforcing steel industry and already enables building owners to opt for steel with a neutral life cycle assessment.
