TSG Balingen – competitive and popular sport under one roof
Donation on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the SÜLZLE Group
TSG Balingen is the figurehead of football in the Zollernalb district. Not only since the first team’s Oberliga championship in 2018 and the associated promotion to the regional league for the first time has it stood for sustainable sporting development.
Particular emphasis is placed on youth work, which forms the basis for the sporting success of the entire club. As a training club, TSG has the clear goal of guiding as many of its own young players as possible into the active squad (1st team and U23). Well over 200 children/youngsters currently play in the youth teams in Balingen and take part in both regional and national matches in their respective teams.
Since 2008, the entire youth development programme has been based on a comprehensive and sustainable training concept that ensures the high-quality development of the players. In addition to the purely sporting aspects, the focus is primarily on teaching values such as social responsibility, learning and adhering to rules, respect and fairness as well as reliability and acting on one’s own responsibility.

SÜLZLE as main sponsor of the TSG Balingen football team
Since 2009, SÜLZLE has been the main sponsor of the TSG Balingen football department, supporting both the sporting and general development of the club. The past 10 years can certainly be seen as the continuation of a success story that culminated in promotion to the fourth-highest German league in 2018. The basis of this success lies to a large extent in the local roots that TSG has always cultivated: Young, talented players from the region are trained and introduced to the active teams through strong and high-quality youth work, both in terms of football and personal development. Many a path has even led via TSG Balingen to the top flight of German football.
This concept is also close to SÜLZLE’s heart. As the main sponsor, it is particularly important to us to promote the entire structures within the club. We therefore focus our support not only on the first team, but also on all youth teams – from the Bambini to the U19s. In this way, we would like to make an important contribution to the TSG’s grassroots sports programme, which flows seamlessly into competitive sport, but still offers everyone the opportunity to get involved in the club on a sporting and personal level and to play an active role in shaping club life. As the main sponsor, we see ourselves as a part of this club life and its organisation: for example, in cooperation with the club, we created the SÜLZLE Cup, a football tournament for company and public authority teams that has been held as part of the TSG Experience Day ever since.
Both sides attach great importance to a long-term and sustainable partnership, which is not primarily linked to class affiliation and purely sporting success. Rather, they want to continue on the path they have embarked on together and expand it further.
