SÜLZLE takes over steel trading company in North Rhine-Westphalia

The SÜLZLE Group is taking over the steel trading company P.T. Post with retroactive effect from January 1, 2024, thus further expanding its market position.

P. T. Post Eisenhandel GmbH & Co. KG is an owner-managed, high-performance family business that has been based in Langenfeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, for more than 50 years. Founded in 1970 by Peter Thomas Post as a one-man business, the company quickly developed into the largest private steel trader between Cologne and Düsseldorf. Today, Peter Paul Post is the sole owner, partner and managing director in the second generation.

With state-of-the-art production facilities and innovative high-bay warehouses, the steel trading experts have been offering their customers the best possible service for decades. P.T. Post has an extensive range of steel products for all requirements – commercial lengths, fixed lengths and prefabrication – in a warehouse area of more than 23,000 m² in nine halls.

In addition to the classic steel trade, P.T. Post also serves the regional construction industry and the building materials trade with its construction steel center. The focus is always on service.

Over 60 employees and 16 own trucks ensure that customers are supplied on time.

Peter Post, the managing partner of the steel trading company, wanted to arrange his company succession at an early stage with great responsibility. In the search for a successor, a competent, value-oriented partner has now been found in SÜLZLE, with whom the successful continuation in the interests of the Post family, employees and long-standing business partners will be ensured in the usual way.
