Light and warmth for Ukraine
The SÜLZLE Group’s donation of 15,000 euros was used for electricity generators in western Ukraine before Christmas. The aim is to ensure that the families who want to stay in Ukraine do not have to leave because of the cold. “For us, it is important that people can hope and believe again at a time like this,” said Edith Kuret, member of the SÜLZLE Group’s management team, at the donation handover to Pastor Enno Haaks on 12 December. Mr Haaks is General Secretary of the Gustav-Adolf-Werk based in Leipzig. The diaspora organisation of the Protestant Church in Germany has been helping people in Ukraine and all those who have been forced to flee their homes since the Russian attack for months. In order to secure the current power supply in extreme frost, a Gustav-Adolf-Werk van loaded with 30 generators set off from Baden-Württemberg for Ukraine on 14 December. Ten of these were purchased with the donation from the SÜLZLE Group and distributed to needy families, kindergartens, schools and public institutions.
