Success through tradition and innovation
The starting point of our company was Rosenfeld, where our headquarters are still located today: the company’s history began here in 1880 when Wilhelm Sülzle opened a toolsmith’s shop on Rosenfeld’s market square. This was the first time that what has become our trademark over the years came together: the combination of commercial knowledge with technical know-how.
Today, this knowledge is spread over many shoulders: a small business has grown into a high-performance company with around 1,000 employees, which has been successfully managed by the founding family for four generations.
Even after the turn of the millennium, the SÜLZLE Group has continued to grow steadily. Under the management of Andreas and Heinrich Sülzle, the expansion of the company network has created a group of companies that combines steel, energy and ideas in a symbiosis.

Company foundation: Wilhelm Christian Sülzle opens a blacksmith’s shop on the market square in Rosenfeld, where several journeymen work and apprentices are also trained
1922
Wilhelm Sülzle’s son Wilhelm Karl takes over the company (in today’s Sülzle House)
1929
Industrial building: Construction of the workshop (and thus the first industrial building in Rosenfeld) next to today’s town hall
1953
Restructuring: Wilhelm Karl Sülzle divides his company into three parts: Helmut Sülzle Eisenwaren | Wilhelm Sülzle Landmaschinen und Riemenverbinder | Heinrich Blickle Süro Gerätebau
1956
Purchase of the Rosenfelder Fruchtkasten by Helmut Sülzle and his brother-in-law Heinrich Blickle
1961
Helmut Sülzle marries Edith Sülzle, née Mayer
1988
Company management in transition: After the death of Helmut Sülzle, Edith Sülzle continues to run the company with her employees and with the help of the entire family
1990
4th generation: Heinrich Sülzle joins the company. Andreas Sülzle follows in 1998.
2000
SÜLZLE Stahlpartner: Foundation of Stahlpartner in Dornstetten, further locations follow (Dusslingen, Pforzheim, Denkendorf).

Takeover of the company Steim Eisenhandel Dusslingen (today SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Dusslingen)

SÜLZLE positions itself in France and takes over the French list mat manufacturer SOTRALENTZ CONSTRUCTION with 2 locations.
2017
SÜLZLE Stahlpartner opens a new branch in Seelze near Hanover and now has 13 locations throughout Germany.

Takeover of the Hagmeyer Stahlcenter in Geislingen an der Steige (today’s SÜLZLE Hagmeyer)

Takeover of STAHL Ehrenfriedersdorf GmbH & Co. KG in the Ore Mountains, today’s SÜLZLE Stahl Ehrenfriedersdorf GmbH.

SÜLZLE Stahlpartner takes over the bending operation of Eisen-Pfeiffer in Stockach on Lake Constance and now has 15 locations throughout Germany.
2019
On 25 May 2019, SÜLZLE Stahlpartner opened a state-of-the-art bending shop on around 10,000 square meters in the port of Lübeck at Nordlandkai.
